Your Role
Reporting directly to the CTO, your primary responsibilities will be enhancing the security of the Viagogo’s corporate and production systems and networks. You will work closely with the IT operations, system administration, and application development teams to identify risks to the business and lead solutions to protect Viagogo’s customer and financial information.
This will be a new role in the company and you will have broad autonomy to drive solutions to protect an extremely high-volume online ticket sales company. We are looking for a smart, creative, and hands-on security expert to dig in and get the job done. We anticipate this will have the opportunity to lead a small team, but this will stay a technical role.
Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Deploy and manage security tools such as endpoint protection, encryption, patching, firewall configurations, log management, intrusion detection, multi-factor authentication.
  • Configure centralized logging and alerting to detect warnings and incidents.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests of systems and networks and prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Identify risks to the business and recommend strategies to address those risks.
  • Create and deliver security education and awareness training.
  • Work with the development team to enhance application security.
  • Assist with security policy reviews, configuration standards, and 3rd-party audits.
  • Your Skills

  • BS degree or higher
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Information Security
  • Very strong hands-on technical skills in both security risks and implementing solutions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with IT and system administration staff
  • Strong organizational skills to lead multiple highly-visible projects
  • Preferred

  • CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or related certifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Information Security
  • Familiarity with log management tools such as Azure OMS or Splunk
  • Experience with network penetration testing tools such as nessus, nmap, core impact, Rapid7/metasploit, and similar
  • Experience with managing endpoint and server protection technology such as anti-virus/spyware/malware, application whitelisting, and patching tools.
